NGC Aerospace has pioneered a new paradigm in both the design and the operation of spacecraft, starting with the PROBA-1 spacecraft launched in 2001 and still successfully operating today for an extended mission well beyond the design lifetime of 2 years.

NGC worked in partnership with Verhaert Space (now QinetiQ Space) for the development, implementation and validation of the autonomous attitude and orbit GNC software for the PROBA-2 spacecraft.

NGC is contributing its expertise in the fourth project of the PROBA series, PROBA-3. The satellite is currently in its active development phase for a launch in 2024.

Sentinel-3
NGC has been selected by the prime contractor of the Sentinel-3 spacecraft to provide its expertise in the design and validation of the Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) of the spacecraft.

ALTIUS
NGC is currently actively developing the AOCS software component for the ESA ALTIUS mission. The ALTIUS mission is a limb observation mission aiming at monitoring the distribution and evolution of stratospheric ozone in the Earth's atmosphere.

ALFIE
In 2010 and 2011, NGC conducted the first ever real-time full-scale demonstration of a Lidar-based Hazard Detection and Avoidance system for autonomous planetary landing.

ARTEMIS
NGC’s Vision-Based Navigation system for rovers has been implemented and deployed onboard the Artemis Jr Moon exploration prototype rover with its partner Neptec Design Group.
