Autopilot System

NGC’s autopilot system is capable of operating on various types of aircraft, from multicopter to fixed-wing, while bringing advanced capability, stability and robustness. It also provides various levels of automation from pilot-assist manoeuvres to fully automatic missions for all phases of flight including takeoff, climb, cruise, transition, approach and landing.


NGC’s autopilot system reduces the piloting burden and increases safety by providing control augmentation and fully automatic aircraft piloting capabilities.

This customised embedded software system provides reliable pilot-assist, semi-automatic and fully automatic aircraft piloting capabilities. It has demonstrated proven performance in simulation and in flight for multicopter, helicopter, fixed wing and hybrid electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) configurations. The interfaces are compatible with commercial ground control station based on STANAG and MAVLINK protocols. It is also capable of managing vehicle-specific functions (engine controls, subsystems monitoring) and contingency measures in case of system component failures.

NGC’s autopilot system will enable the deployment of an autonomous air transport system for remote regions that are difficult to reach by current means of transportation.
