Simulators for Aerial Systems

NGC provides simulators capable of modelling with high fidelity the dynamic and aerodynamic behaviours of the aircraft and its sensors and actuators. Such simulators are ideal for the efficient validation of system robustness, performance and operations in a controlled environment, including contingency measures otherwise difficult to verify safely in flight. This system is also ideal for validating mission concepts and training the aircraft operators before deploying the mission.

NGC’s Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation Framework

To support the development and validation of autopilot, detect and avoid and landing zone assessment technologies, NGC has designed high-fidelity simulators that model the dynamic and aerodynamic behaviours of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and of its sensors and actuators.

These simulators are either created in software format or integrated with real hardware components in a real-time environment.

They are ideal for the efficient validation of system robustness, performance and operations in a controlled environment, including contingency measures in case of failures otherwise difficult to verify safely in flight.

The Hardware-in-the-loop simulation framework developed by NGC provides the means to perform extensive and automated testing of the autopilot system before flight deployment and the means to refine the simulation models as flight data is collected during flight testing.
